Commis I – Indian Cuisine

About the role

The Soaltee Resort Shivapuri National Park is seeking a Commis I specialised in Indian cuisine to join its kitchen team in Budhanilkantha. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the Chef de Partie in preparing authentic Indian dishes while maintaining the resort’s high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Indian curries, tandoor items, breads and traditional side dishes following established recipes.
• Assist with daily mise en place, station set‑up and service during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Maintain hygiene, food safety and proper storage, labeling and cleaning of workstations and equipment.
• Support inventory checks, minimise waste and help with stock rotation.
• Participate in training sessions to improve culinary techniques and menu development.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of Indian cuisine and basic cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion control and plating instructions accurately.
• Good time‑management, teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
