Academic Counselor – Finland & Germany

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Academic Counselor to support Nepali students who wish to pursue higher education in Finland or Germany. The role involves guiding candidates through every step of the study‑abroad journey, from selecting suitable programmes to securing visas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counselling sessions to assess academic background, career goals and study‑abroad preferences.
• Provide up‑to‑date information on universities, programmes, admission criteria, scholarships and language test requirements for Finland and Germany.
• Assist students in shortlisting institutions and preparing application documents such as forms, SOPs, motivation letters and CVs.
• Advise on tuition fees, living costs, financial planning and available scholarships.
• Guide applicants through visa and residence‑permit procedures, ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Maintain a counselling pipeline, follow up with prospects and work towards enrollment and conversion targets.
• Record leads, applications and outcomes accurately in the CRM system.
• Represent the organisation at education fairs, seminars and workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in educational consultancy or study‑abroad counselling.
• Strong knowledge of higher‑education admission processes and visa requirements for Finland and/or Germany.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional, results‑oriented attitude with the ability to meet enrollment targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using CRM software for lead and client management.
