Business Development Officer – Construction & Building Materials

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Business Development Officer to expand our sales footprint within the construction and building‑materials market in Kathmandu. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with builders, contractors, consultants and architects, and will be responsible for identifying and securing new project opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities on construction and development projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, consultants, architects and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct regular field visits to construction sites and prospective clients.
• Generate leads, build a robust pipeline and present product proposals to prospects.
• Negotiate commercial terms and drive sales closures to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
• Track upcoming construction projects, monitor competitor activity and market trends.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, project status and sales progress.
• Coordinate internally to support quotations, orders, delivery and after‑sales service.

Required profile

• MBA degree.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in construction or building‑materials.
• Established network or strong working relationships with builders, contractors, consultants and architects.
• Proven ability to generate and close business opportunities and achieve sales targets.
• Willingness to conduct regular field visits and travel within the region.
