Canada Counselor

About the role

The Canada Counselor will join Cloud Education and Visa Services in Kathmandu to guide Nepali students interested in studying in Canada. This full‑time, on‑site position involves providing personalized advice on program selection, university choice, admission requirements and visa procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions with prospective students and assess their academic and career goals.
• Provide clear information on Canadian study pathways, admission criteria and student‑visa documentation.
• Maintain accurate student records and update the internal CRM system.
• Coordinate with partner Canadian institutions and internal teams to ensure smooth application processes.
• Follow up with students from initial inquiry through enrollment, answering queries via phone, email and in‑person.
• Participate in information sessions and outreach events.
• Uphold ethical, student‑centered advising practices.

Required profile

• Strong counseling and advisory abilities with a focus on student goals.
• Good knowledge of the Canadian education system and visa procedures, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple cases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, Social Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in education counseling or overseas study consulting is an advantage.
