District Project Manager – Health Projects

About the role

The District Project Manager will lead Action for Nepal’s health initiatives across Khotang and Solukhumbu districts, overseeing RMNCAH, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and telehealth projects. The role combines strategic planning, technical oversight, and stakeholder coordination to improve equitable health outcomes for mothers, children, and adolescents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated annual and quarterly work plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with project designs, log frames, and Theory of Change.
• Oversee implementation of all project activities, guaranteeing timely delivery, compliance with donor policies, and adherence to budgets.
• Provide technical leadership on RMNCAH, public health, mental health, school health promotion, and high‑altitude emergency support interventions.
• Ensure quality of capacity‑building activities for health workers, FCHVs, HFOMCs, and school teachers.
• Coordinate with Rural Municipalities, district health and education offices, and partners to secure MoUs, co‑financing, and alignment with local priorities.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, conduct performance reviews, and foster an inclusive work environment.
• Manage the project’s MEAL system, ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, and disaggregation by sex, age, ethnicity, and disability.
• Uphold safeguarding, risk management, and inclusion policies, promoting participation of marginalized groups and reporting any incidents promptly.
