District Project Manager – Health Projects (Taplejung)

About the role

Action for Nepal is seeking a District Project Manager to lead the implementation of its Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) improvement, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) and Telehealth projects across Khotang and Solukhumbu districts, based in Taplejung. The role provides overall leadership, technical oversight and strategic direction to ensure project activities are delivered on time, within budget and in line with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of annual and quarterly implementation plans aligned with the project Theory of Change, logical framework and approved budget.
• Oversee day‑to‑day project management, ensuring activities are delivered on schedule, within scope and budget while meeting AFN and donor (AHF/DFAT) standards.
• Provide technical leadership on RMNCAH, ASRH and Telehealth interventions, ensuring high‑quality capacity‑building for health workers, FCHVs and HFOMCs.
• Coordinate and represent AFN with provincial and local governments, health offices, schools, community groups and other stakeholders at district and municipal levels.
• Supervise the project team—including Health/Project Officers, MEAL Associate and Social Mobilizers—clarifying roles and fostering effective teamwork.
• Oversee the MEAL system, ensuring timely data collection, analysis, reporting and compliance with donor reporting requirements.
