Education Counselor – Study Abroad Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a confident and student‑focused Education Counselor to guide prospective learners through the process of studying abroad. The ideal candidate enjoys counseling, building relationships, and helping students make informed decisions about their academic futures.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel students interested in international study opportunities.
• Assess each student’s academic background, interests, and career goals.
• Recommend suitable countries, universities, colleges, and courses.
• Handle inquiries via phone, messaging, and face‑to‑face sessions.
• Maintain regular follow‑up communication with prospective students.
• Support students throughout admission and application procedures.
• Coordinate with admissions and documentation teams as needed.
• Keep accurate records of students and leads using MS Excel or CRM systems.
• Track inquiries, follow‑ups, and application progress.
• Conduct informational counseling sessions for students and parents.
• Build strong relationships to convert genuine inquiries into enrollments.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Confidence when interacting with students and parents.
• Strong counseling and presentation skills.
• Effective follow‑up and relationship‑management capabilities.
• Familiarity with international education destinations (Australia, US, Europe, etc.) is a plus.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to meet targets.
• Professional, responsible, and student‑centric attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience using CRM or similar tracking tools.
