Head of Production – Large Multinational Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Production to lead the overall manufacturing operations of a large‑scale factory for a reputed multinational organization. The role will drive production performance, operational excellence, quality, safety and cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all production activities, ensuring targets, quality standards and delivery requirements are met.
• Develop and execute production strategies aligned with business objectives and optimise utilisation of manpower, machinery and materials.
• Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring KPIs such as OEE, productivity and waste.
• Ensure strict compliance with quality, food safety, health & safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and support audits.
• Lead, mentor and develop large production teams, establishing performance objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage production budgets, control costs, reduce material losses and balance cost optimisation with quality and safety.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, quality, finance and other functions to align production with demand planning and support new product launches.
• Oversee CAPEX projects, factory expansions, equipment installations and technology transfers to enhance capacity and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field; Master’s/MBA is a plus.
• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in production/manufacturing operations, including senior plant leadership roles.
• Proven experience in a multinational or large‑scale manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG, food & beverage or consumer goods.
• Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, OEE, yield and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities with excellent stakeholder management.
