International Freight Forwarding Officer

About the role

The International Freight Forwarding Officer will coordinate and manage both domestic and international cargo movements by air, sea, and land. Working from our Sinamangal office, you will ensure timely shipments, accurate documentation, customs compliance, and high‑level customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute import and export shipments via air, sea and land.
• Arrange bookings with airlines, shipping lines, freight carriers and overseas agents.
• Prepare, review and process all required shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, AWB, B/L, certificate of origin, delivery orders, customs declarations, insurance, etc.).
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and government authorities.
• Monitor shipment progress, provide proactive client updates and resolve delays or customs issues.
• Negotiate freight rates and prepare cost‑effective quotations.
• Manage door‑to‑door logistics, cargo consolidation, warehousing and final delivery.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in logistics management systems and ensure compliance with Nepal Customs regulations and international trade laws.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse, finance and operations teams to deliver seamless service.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance or related logistics functions.
• Familiarity with Nepal Customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
• Professional certification in freight forwarding or customs procedures is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding operations.
• Understanding of Incoterms and customs procedures.
• Proficiency with logistics management systems.
• Ability to prepare and verify import/export documentation.
