Product Support Engineer – Heavy Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Product Support Engineer to provide technical and product support for our heavy equipment portfolio in Nepal. The role will enable the sales team, assist customers, and identify new business opportunities to strengthen our market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive knowledge of the full range of heavy equipment products.
• Deliver technical and product training to sales and service teams.
• Support sales with technical inputs, product demonstrations, specifications, and customer presentations.
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable equipment based on application and operating conditions.
• Provide technical solutions and application support to customers, dealers, and internal teams.
• Identify new product opportunities through market demand, competitor activity and industry trends.
• Explore new business channels, applications and market segments across Nepal.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform product positioning and pricing.
• Coordinate with OEMs on technical queries, product updates and troubleshooting.
• Assist with product launches, demonstrations, exhibitions and field activities.
• Gather and communicate customer and market feedback to management and manufacturers.
• Prepare product literature, technical presentations and sales‑support materials.
• Collaborate with sales, service, parts and other departments to ensure effective product and customer support.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of new technologies, equipment features and industry developments.
• Prepare periodic reports on product performance, market opportunities and technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in product support, technical support, service engineering or application engineering.
• Experience in heavy equipment, construction machinery, mining equipment or related industries.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, cranes, dozers, motor graders and dump trucks.
• Understanding of equipment specifications, applications and operating conditions.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and engine systems.
