Project Manager – Climate Change Adaptation

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of an Australian‑funded Climate Change Adaptation project in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, strengthening resilience and economic empowerment of the poorest households and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the consortium of three national NGOs, World Vision and a knowledge partner, ensuring project delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Oversee strategic, financial and operational planning, including budgeting, reporting, procurement and supply‑chain management.
• Manage partner NGOs, monitor performance, and provide technical support in capacity‑building and MEAL activities.
• Integrate safeguarding, GEDSI and “Do No Harm” principles and ensure compliance with donor and organisational policies.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement with sub‑national governments, donors and other partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑partner development projects, preferably in climate change or disaster resilience.
• Strong analytical and adaptive‑management skills, with ability to make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication, emotional intelligence and team‑leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Project management and monitoring & evaluation (MEAL) expertise.
• Financial management, budgeting and reporting competence.
• Knowledge of climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction and GEDSI frameworks.
