South Korea Counselor

About the role

The South Korea Counselor will guide Nepali students who wish to pursue higher education in South Korea. Based in Kathmandu, this full-time position involves advising students on programmes, admission criteria, scholarships and visa procedures, ensuring a smooth application journey.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to assess student goals and recommend suitable Korean institutions.
• Organise information sessions, seminars and webinars on South Korean higher education.
• Maintain accurate student records, application timelines and track deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with partner universities and colleges in South Korea to obtain up-to-date admission requirements and scholarship information.
• Assist students and families with documentation, visa applications and other procedural steps.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and update counseling materials and outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management or a related field.
• Strong advisory and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand student needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Nepali; knowledge of Korean is an advantage.
• Organisational ability to manage multiple student cases and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in educational consultancy or student counseling preferred.

• Proficiency with basic computer applications and online communication tools for virtual meetings and documentation.
