Video Editing Instructor

About the role

The Video Editing Instructor will join Skill Spark’s training team in Kathmandu on a part‑time basis. You will lead engaging, hands‑on sessions that teach learners core video editing and production techniques, helping them build industry‑ready skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lesson plans covering video editing workflows, software tools and production best practices.
• Demonstrate editing software and guide learners through practical exercises and projects.
• Create, update and maintain course materials, assignments and sample projects aligned with current industry standards.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve learners’ technical and creative abilities.
• Collaborate with the training team to ensure curriculum consistency and contribute to demo projects when needed.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in video editing and video production with hands‑on experience using industry‑standard editing software.
• Prior experience teaching, training or mentoring is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a learner‑focused, inclusive approach.
• Relevant academic background or professional certification in media, film, animation, IT or a related field.
