Construction Manager (Hydro Project)

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead civil, hydro‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical works for a hydropower project. This senior position requires overseeing all on‑site activities, ensuring they align with design, quality, safety and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work schedules for tunneling, concreting, grouting, dam/weir and powerhouse construction.
• Supervise multidisciplinary site teams and manage subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, resources, costs and produce regular site reports.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Resolve site‑level issues promptly to keep the project on track.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in hydropower or heavy civil/underground works.
• Strong knowledge of tunneling, dam/weir construction, concrete works and hydro‑mechanical installation.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts and project scheduling tools.
• NEC registration in Nepal preferred or required.
• Demonstrated leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
