Early Learning Consultant – ECED & Grade 1 Transition (Remote, Travel)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking experienced consultants to design, develop, test, and refine a Structured Pedagogy‑Informed ECED Package and a Grade 1 Transition Package aligned with Nepal’s Integrated Curriculum and Early Learning and Development Standards. The work will be remote with periodic travel to Nepal to engage with local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structured daily activity plans for 192 ECED days and at least the first 90 days of Grade 1 transition.
• Create formative assessment tools, coaching guidance, and school‑readiness resources.
• Produce parent and caregiver engagement materials.
• Collaborate closely with UNICEF staff, government officials, and education experts to ensure alignment with national standards.
• Test and refine the packages through pilot implementation and feedback loops.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education, curriculum design, and transition strategies.
• Experience working with government education systems or international development agencies.
• Strong analytical and research skills to incorporate evidence‑based practices.
• Ability to travel to Nepal and work remotely across time zones.
