Assistant Trainer – Spa & Massage Therapy

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Trainer to support our Spa & Massage Therapy training programmes at AIPA’s Kathmandu campus. The role involves assisting the Lead Spa Trainer in delivering practical sessions, guiding students, and upholding the academy’s high standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Spa Trainer in conducting spa and massage training programmes.
• Demonstrate and supervise practical techniques such as massage, facial, body treatments and related spa therapies.
• Guide students during hands‑on practice and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor students’ performance, discipline, hygiene and professional conduct.
• Prepare class units, equipment, products and training materials for practical sessions.
• Ensure proper sanitation and professional standards throughout training.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
• Support workshops, examinations, demonstrations and special training programmes outside Kathmandu.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding students, clients and academy matters.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Beauty Therapy, Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy, Aesthetics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in the spa, wellness or beauty industry.
• Previous teaching or training experience is an advantage.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an academic training team.
• Preference for candidates holding CIDESCO or other internationally recognised qualifications.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of massage and spa treatment techniques.
• Understanding of hygiene, sanitation and client safety standards.
