Finance Manager – Finance & Commercial

About the role

The Finance Manager – Finance & Commercial will lead financial control and commercial operations supporting sales, marketing and distribution functions. The role focuses on revenue protection, credit management, working capital optimisation and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage credit policies, limits and periods for distributors and dealers.
• Monitor weekly debtor ageing, overdue receivables and collection performance.
• Handle security cheques, post‑dated cheques and bank guarantees from channel partners.
• Oversee dealer onboarding and utilisation of financing facilities.
• Coordinate financing claims, payouts and interest reconciliation with banks.
• Manage end‑to‑end Letter of Credit processes, including documentation and realisation.
• Ensure timely dealer ledger reconciliation and balance confirmations.
• Validate dealer schemes, rebates, discounts and commercial incentives.
• Calculate and validate sales force incentives against targets and KPIs.
• Monitor advertising & marketing expenses, budget utilisation and ROI.
• Prepare monthly commercial MIS covering DSO, channel financing, schemes and receivables.
• Develop SOPs for Order‑to‑Cash, dealer onboarding, PDC/BG handling and insurance claims.
• Coordinate with tax teams on VAT and excise implications.
• Manage property, stock and marine insurance coverage and claims.
• Identify commercial risks, revenue leakages and opportunities to improve working capital.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification – mandatory.
• 5–8 years of experience in finance, commercial finance, sales finance or credit & receivables.
• Strong background in O2C, credit control, AR, channel financing, LC and BG processes.
• Good understanding of Nepalese VAT and excise regulations.
• Experience in commercial/stock insurance and claim management (preferred).
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced MS Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
