Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will plan, coordinate and manage the company’s logistics and distribution operations, ensuring timely, cost‑effective movement of goods, materials and products. This role works closely with transporters, suppliers, customers and internal teams to maintain compliance with policies, safety standards and service‑level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily transportation and delivery operations, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.
• Select, negotiate with and manage transportation service providers and freight partners.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, routes, fuel consumption and transportation costs, optimizing resources.
• Track shipments, resolve delays, damages, shortages and delivery issues proactively.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
• Ensure accurate inventory movement between warehouses, branches, suppliers and customers.
• Maintain logistics documentation such as delivery notes, dispatch documents, invoices and shipping records.
• Develop and manage logistics budgets, monitor expenses and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Lead, supervise and develop logistics coordinators, dispatch staff, drivers and warehouse personnel.
