Medical Specialist SME – Remote Hourly Contractor

About the role

In this hourly, remote contractor role you will act as a Medical Doctor (Specialist) Subject Matter Expert, reviewing AI‑generated clinical responses and creating expert medical content. You will evaluate reasoning quality, provide precise written feedback, and help improve the safety and accuracy of AI models used in healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by creating detailed prompts and gold‑standard answers aligned to your specialty.
• Evaluate and rank AI‑generated responses to enhance correctness, safety, clarity, and contextual relevance.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, and bias, ensuring reliability across patient populations.
• Fact‑check medical information, write high‑quality explanations, and model solutions that demonstrate proper clinical reasoning.

Required profile

• MD or DO with completed specialty training, board‑eligible or board‑certified (or local equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of post‑training clinical experience in a specialty setting.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills, including differential diagnosis, red‑flag recognition, and risk stratification.
• Excellent attention to detail for fact‑checking and identifying unsafe assumptions; C1‑level English proficiency.
• Reliable, self‑directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow.
