TVET Advisor – South & Southeast Asia

About the role

The TVET Advisor will provide strategic and technical guidance to Swisscontact’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes across Nepal and the South‑and‑Southeast Asia region. Based in Nepal, the role involves close collaboration with project teams in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar to enhance the quality and impact of TVET initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Offer advisory and technical support to TVET/skills projects in Nepal and partner countries.
• Design innovative approaches and methodologies for TVET programme implementation.
• Develop and implement quality‑assurance strategies to ensure high standards.
• Facilitate synergies and knowledge sharing across regional projects.
• Identify and support new business opportunities within the TVET sector.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MA/MS) with a specialization in TVET or skills development; professional TVET certification is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the TVET/skills sector, preferably with international exposure.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in diverse country contexts.
