Accountant

About the role

Kalash Services Pvt. Ltd., a leading Business Process Outsourcing company in Lalitpur, Nepal, is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting and financial activities. The role focuses on maintaining accurate books, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with Nepalese tax and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date books of accounts in line with Nepalese accounting standards.
• Handle daily transactions including receipts, payments, sales, purchases and expense recordings.
• Prepare vouchers, invoices, bills and supporting financial documents.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments.
• Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow reports.
• Assist in filing VAT returns, TDS and other applicable taxes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and government authorities.
• Maintain records for tax, audit and statutory compliance.
• Support budgeting, financial planning and expense monitoring.
• Assist in payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
• Uphold confidentiality of all financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation, VAT, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and maintain high accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, Swastik or Busy.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
