Lead Controller (Paid Internship)

About the role

The Lead Controller internship is a full‑time, on‑site position at Kalimati Technical Education & Vocational Training in Kathmandu. You will gain hands‑on experience supporting the institution’s financial control functions while working closely with senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and preparation of financial reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate financial records, support audit and compliance activities, and monitor cash‑flow.
• Collaborate with training and operations teams to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of financial tasks.
• Contribute to process improvements and provide data analysis to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, able to interact professionally with colleagues and learners.
• Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field (current student or recent graduate preferred).
• Interest in vocational education and willingness to learn operational aspects of a technical training institution.

• Basic accounting software or ERP system experience.
