Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Learning Management System (LMS) platform and Academy division within Nepal’s financial education space. The role focuses on building relationships with banks, development banks, and other financial institutions, identifying demand for premium workshops, and converting prospects into long‑term subscriptions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and map BFI prospects, build a sales pipeline, pitch to HR heads and CEOs, and close new clients for the LMS platform.
• Represent Human Edge at institutional meetings with banks, development banks, and finance companies across Nepal.
• Drive the Academy division by shaping workshop offerings, selling training programmes, and negotiating pilot agreements into long‑term subscriptions.
• Maintain and grow client relationships post‑sign, ensuring satisfaction and uncovering upsell opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence to inform product and content development.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in HR, L&D, training, or a related function within a bank, financial services firm, or training consultancy serving the banking sector.
• Deep understanding of Nepalese banks’ structures, buying processes, and regulatory environment.
• Commercially driven with experience in cold outreach, long sales cycles, and pipeline‑revenue metrics.
• Fluent in Nepali and English, confident in boardroom presentations and one‑on‑one conversations.
• Ownership mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and an existing network of HR heads or BFI executives is a strong advantage.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Nepali and English.
