Cloud Storage Administrator

About the role

The Cloud Storage Administrator will design, implement and manage Google Cloud NetApp Volumes for enterprise‑grade environments. You will ensure reliable, high‑performance file‑sharing services across NFS, SMB/CIFS and other protocols while supporting migration and modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure and administer NetApp Volumes on Google Cloud, including Private Service Access, VPC integration and DNS settings.
• Manage NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI and Fibre Channel services to meet workload requirements.
• Plan capacity, perform performance tuning, and monitor latency, IOPS, throughput and utilization.
• Implement snapshot, backup, replication (SnapMirror) and disaster‑recovery solutions, and conduct regular DR tests.
• Migrate data from on‑premises NetApp platforms to Google Cloud, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Apply security controls such as IAM policies, Active Directory integration, encryption and access permissions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, database and application teams on cloud transformation projects.
• Provide on‑call support for production incidents and maintain detailed recovery documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with NAS and SAN storage provisioning in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of NetApp technologies (SVMs, aggregates, FlexVol, LUNs, export policies, SnapMirror).
• Proficiency with NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI and Fibre Channel storage protocols.
• Experience with Google Cloud services, especially NetApp Volumes and GKE.
• Familiarity with backup platforms such as Commvault and Veeam.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex storage and connectivity issues on Linux and Windows workloads.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
