College / RTO Operations Manager

About the role

The College / RTO Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of a tertiary education provider. The role ensures that admissions, student administration, training coordination, compliance, and customer service function smoothly and deliver a high‑quality experience for students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities, develop procedures, and continuously improve processes, systems and CRM usage.
• Lead admissions, administration, student support and operational teams; allocate tasks, monitor performance and provide coaching.
• Oversee student enquiries, applications, enrolments and documentation, ensuring accurate records and timely communication.
• Coordinate class schedules, attendance, assessments and course delivery with trainers; monitor student progress and resolve issues.
• Support compliance with RTO requirements, maintain accurate student records, assist with audits and internal reporting.
• Collaborate with finance to coordinate fee collection and related processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing operations within a college, RTO or similar education environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills, with the ability to set targets and monitor KPIs.
• Excellent organisational abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with trainers, students and senior management.
