Director – Fiber Network Operations

About the role

We are seeking a results‑oriented Director of Fiber Network Operations to lead technical operations for an entire province in Nepal. This senior leadership position oversees network availability, operational excellence, customer experience, infrastructure expansion, asset protection, and revenue realization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end fiber network operations and technical service delivery across the assigned province.
• Own availability, reliability, and readiness of core nodes, MPLS routers, OLTs, switches, backbone & trunk links, PON networks, fiber distribution, and power systems.
• Drive preventive maintenance, outage restoration, and compliance with SLA/ETR targets.
• Plan and execute network expansion, new installations, OLT deployment, capacity planning, and strategic migrations.
• Oversee customer technical support, field service, and service delivery to ensure exceptional experience.
• Manage province‑wide KPIs such as network availability, MTTR, SLA compliance, installation turnaround, asset recovery, and customer retention.
• Lead inventory and asset management, ensuring accurate stock control, timely replenishment, and prevention of loss.
• Mentor, hire, and manage provincial technical teams, handling performance, discipline, and succession planning.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and contractors to drive continuous improvement and cost optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in ISP/Telecom operations, preferably in fiber network management.
• Proven track record of leading large technical teams and delivering network projects at provincial scale.
