District Coordinator – Rasuwa District (Humanitarian Response)

About the role

World Vision Nepal is seeking a District Coordinator to lead the flash‑flood response in Rasuwa District. The role oversees multi‑sectoral humanitarian assistance, ensuring timely, quality delivery and strong coordination with local authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day implementation of food, nutrition, shelter, WASH, livelihood and protection activities across the district.
• Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions to meet targets and donor requirements.
• Integrate protection, gender, inclusion, safeguarding and accountability principles into all interventions.
• Build and maintain relationships with district and municipal governments, community leaders, NGOs and INGOs.
• Oversee partner NGOs, ensuring compliance with security, safeguarding, financial and procurement policies.
• Prepare and submit regular reports, data, and lessons learned to national office and donors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in humanitarian response or early recovery, with at least 2 years managing field‑based projects and teams.
• Proven experience coordinating emergency response activities with government structures.
• Fluent in English and Nepali (both written and oral); knowledge of local language and culture is a plus.
