Early Learning Consultant – ECED & Grade 1 Transition (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking experienced consultants to design and test a Structured Pedagogy‑Informed package for Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) and a Grade 1 transition package aligned with Nepal’s Integrated Curriculum and Early Learning Development Standards. The role is remote with periodic travel to Kathmandu and project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an integrated ECED and Grade 1 transition package, including daily activity plans (192 days for ECED, at least 90 days for Grade 1).
• Create formative assessment tools, coaching guidance, and school‑readiness resources.
• Produce parent and caregiver engagement materials and practical implementation guides.
• Collaborate closely with UNICEF staff, government officials, and local education stakeholders.
• Test, refine, and validate the packages through pilot implementation and feedback loops.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in early childhood education, curriculum design, and pedagogical innovation.
• Experience working with national education standards and transition frameworks.
• Ability to travel within Nepal and work remotely.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
