Laboratory Receptionist (Full-time, Kathmandu)

About the role

Sukra House of Diagnostics and Wellness Center is seeking a full‑time Laboratory Receptionist to join its Kathmandu facility. The role serves as the first point of contact for patients and laboratory visitors, ensuring smooth front‑desk operations and accurate sample handling.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, register and direct patients and visitors at the front desk.
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls professionally.
• Maintain a tidy, presentable reception area with necessary stationery and brochures.
• Receive laboratory samples, ensure chain of custody, and log them into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Clean and organize the sample receiving area to support efficient workflow.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, commercial invoicing and spreadsheet management.
• Develop and maintain positive public relations with an emphasis on customer service.
• Assist laboratory technicians and coordinate sample collection and appointment scheduling.

Required profile

• Strong reception and clerical abilities to manage front‑desk operations efficiently.
• Excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills.
• Solid customer‑service orientation to provide patient‑centered assistance.
• Basic computer literacy and prior experience in a reception or administrative role.
