MEP Supervisor

About the role

The MEP Supervisor will lead the installation, testing and quality control of plumbing, electrical, sanitary and HVAC systems on construction sites. This role ensures that all work complies with engineering drawings, safety codes and project specifications while maintaining accurate measurement records.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect all MEP installations (ducting, piping, wiring, fixtures) to verify workmanship and material compliance.
• Take precise physical measurements of conduit lengths, pipe runs and duct sizes and compare them with approved shop drawings.
• Coordinate on‑site spatial layouts to avoid clashes between HVAC ducts, electrical trays and plumbing lines.
• Witness and document mandatory system tests, including pipe pressure, electrical continuity/insulation and HVAC air‑balancing.
• Record quantities of installed materials in measurement logs for progress tracking and subcontractor invoicing.
• Prepare signed pre‑installation and post‑testing quality checklists and validated as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supervising MEP works on building construction projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in reading multi‑service blueprints and construction drawings.
• Ability to perform on‑site linear and elevation measurements accurately.
• Competence with AutoCAD for drawing review and updates.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for quantity take‑offs and reporting.
