Senior MEP Engineer – Hospitality Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Senior MEP Engineer to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for hospitality construction projects. The role requires a seasoned professional with at least ten years of experience to ensure safe, code‑compliant, and energy‑efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end MEP design coordination for hotels, covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utilities.
• Review consultant and contractor shop drawings, IFC/BIM outputs, and technical submittals for compliance with specifications and codes.
• Develop MEP scopes of work, technical standards, and design deliverables aligned with hospitality comfort and redundancy requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional interfaces with architectural, structural, civil, fire/life safety, and other trades to avoid clashes.
• Resolve MEP technical issues during site queries, inspections, and commissioning.
• Oversee system planning for commissioning readiness, including pre‑functional checklists and testing documentation.
• Mentor MEP engineering team members and manage vendor/sub‑contractor relationships to maintain quality and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of MEP engineering experience, preferably in hospitality or complex commercial projects.
• Proven leadership and team‑collaboration abilities.
• Strong cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Knowledge of Nepalese and international building codes relevant to hospitality projects.
