Mid-Level QA Engineer – Onsite in Kathmandu

About the role

The Mid-Level QA Engineer will own quality for one or more products in a fast‑moving student recruitment and migration platform. Working onsite in Kathmandu and aligned to Australian business hours, you will bridge the gap between rapid AI‑driven development and robust testing.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and user stories, sharpen acceptance criteria, and flag untestable items.
• Design, maintain and execute test plans, suites and regression packs across functional, integration, cross‑browser and cross‑device scenarios.
• Test APIs directly using tools such as Postman.
• Make evidence‑backed release‑readiness decisions.
• Extend automated coverage of critical journeys using Cypress, Playwright or Selenium.
• Integrate automated suites into CI pipelines, keep them stable and eliminate flaky tests.
• Leverage AI‑assisted and agentic tooling to generate and validate test cases, ensuring correct assertions.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Comfort with AI‑assisted testing workflows and ability to critically evaluate generated test output.
• Strong analytical mindset to assess risk and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, product owners and technology leads.
