Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the coordination and direct management of resources for emergency operations, ensuring planning, implementation and monitoring align with IFRC standards and the Emergency Response Framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies for emergency response programmes.
• Coordinate resource allocation, logistics and staffing to support timely humanitarian actions.
• Monitor and evaluate operational performance against humanitarian and organisational priorities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRC Emergency Response Framework and relevant standards.
• Collaborate with Programme and Project Management teams to integrate operational plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing emergency operations within humanitarian contexts.
• Strong understanding of IFRC policies, standards and the Emergency Response Framework.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with national societies.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRC Emergency Response Framework.
• Experience with resource coordination and logistics in crisis settings.
