Personal Care Assistant

About the role

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) works full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, providing direct personal care and daily living support to individuals enrolled in D Group’s care programs. The role focuses on maintaining dignity, safety and comfort while assisting with hygiene, mobility and basic daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing and mobility.
• Monitor client well‑being, record observations and report any changes to supervisors or health professionals.
• Follow established care plans, health and safety protocols, and infection‑control procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and safe environment.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability in daily duties.

Required profile

• Compassionate, client‑centered attitude with respect for individual dignity.
• Physically able to perform active, on‑site tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; caregiving or health‑related training is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of health, safety and infection‑control practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
