Senior Communications Associate

About the role

The Senior Communications Associate will shape how the organization is presented across its website, newsletters, social media, events, and media outlets. Working closely with on‑the‑ground teams, you will create authentic, engaging content that highlights daily sustainability initiatives and drives audience awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual communications strategy, translating it into monthly and quarterly plans aligned with business goals.
• Identify and craft compelling stories to reach target audiences through website updates, newsletters, social media, and press releases.
• Maintain and update the organization’s website, ensuring project pages, impact metrics, blogs, and reports are current while collaborating with developers on functionality and UX.
• Create engaging newsletters that showcase achievements, partnerships, projects, and the people behind the work.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists and media outlets, coordinate interviews, prepare press releases, and monitor coverage.
• Track communication metrics such as website traffic, social media engagement, newsletter performance, and media reach, and produce regular insight reports.
• Plan and coordinate corporate events and communication campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in communications, branding, public relations or digital marketing.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling abilities, adaptable to various audiences and platforms.
• Experience working with NGOs, sustainability initiatives, CSR programs or environmental organisations is a plus.

• Design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
