Senior Driver (Fixed-Term) – Kathmandu

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking an experienced Senior Driver on a fixed‑term basis to provide safe, reliable transportation for senior staff, high‑ranking UN officials and visitors in Kathmandu. The role supports the Fleet Management team and works closely with the Business Support Associate in the Office of the Country Director.

Key responsibilities

• Drive senior WFP personnel, UN officials and guests to and from meetings, events and field sites.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in good condition and adhere to safety standards.
• Coordinate transport‑related services, including scheduling, route planning and vehicle allocation.
• Provide basic translation of conversations when required.
• Maintain accurate travel logs and report any incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Valid Nepalese driving licence for the vehicle category required.
• Proven experience driving senior officials in a professional environment.
• Good knowledge of Kathmandu traffic patterns and local road regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (and Nepali preferred).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
