Senior QA Engineer – Lead Quality Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across our engineering team. In this hands‑on leadership position you will define the QA strategy, build automation foundations, and ensure reliable releases for platforms used daily by thousands of users.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements, identify gaps, and create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Define and maintain master test plans covering strategy, scope, timelines, and risks.
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases, including functional, regression, end‑to‑end, API, and database testing.
• Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, prioritising critical workflows.
• Establish automation standards, reusable components, and test data strategies.
• Track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle.
• Perform performance, load, and stress testing as needed.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, analysts, and architects throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and help scale the QA team.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software QA/testing experience, including at least 1 year leading QA strategy or automation initiatives.
• Proven ability to design and implement test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and risk‑based testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with effective defect communication.
