Social Media Officer

About the role

Project A, a marketing consulting firm, is looking for a creative Social Media Officer to join its Kathmandu office. You will craft compelling content, nurture online communities, and help both the agency and its diverse client portfolio grow their digital presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and publish snappy, brand‑aligned content for Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram and other platforms.
• Monitor daily social channels, engage with audiences, respond to messages and foster active communities.
• Apply Social Media Optimization (SMO) techniques and data‑driven insights to improve reach and engagement.
• Track performance metrics, analyse analytics and adjust content strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with designers, strategists and consultants to ensure social campaigns support broader marketing goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience managing social media accounts for brands, preferably in an agency or consulting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone to different brand voices.
• Analytical mindset comfortable working with analytics dashboards and scheduling tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meta Business Suite.
• Experience using LinkedIn Analytics.
• Knowledge of Social Media Optimization (SMO) techniques.
• Familiarity with content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
• Hands‑on experience with major social platforms: Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram.
