Student Counselor – ANZ & UK Programs

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, on‑site Counselor to join our Kathmandu office. The role focuses on guiding Nepali students who wish to study in Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom. You will meet prospective students and their families, assess academic backgrounds and career goals, and recommend suitable programmes and institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions and group information meetings.
• Explain admission criteria, scholarship options and visa requirements for ANZ and UK institutions.
• Assist students with completing application forms and gathering supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions in the internal CRM system.
• Coordinate with partner universities, agents and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processing.
• Organise or take part in education fairs, webinars and school visits.
• Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email and in‑person meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve enrollment targets and maintain service quality.

Required profile

• Strong counseling and advisory abilities with a student‑focused mindset.
• Good knowledge of Australian, New Zealand and UK higher‑education systems, or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English and local languages, with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management or a related field; prior consultancy experience is a plus.
• High level of integrity, cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM or student‑management systems.
• Comfort using computers, email and online research tools.
