Tax Associate – US Tax Filings (Full-time, Kathmandu)

About the role

Join a growing US‑based financial services firm operating from Kathmandu. As a Tax Associate you will support US individual and business clients by preparing and reviewing federal and state tax filings, while gaining hands‑on experience with US tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for US‑based individual and business clients.
• Track IRS and state filing deadlines to ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Reconcile financial records, identify discrepancies, and flag issues before filing.
• Coordinate with US clients to collect documentation and clarify tax positions.
• Stay updated on changes in US tax law and communicate implications to the team.
• Support senior team members on audits and advisory assignments.

Required profile

• Completed or currently pursuing a BBA with a major in Accounting or a related field.
• Up to 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and comfort working with numbers.
• Willingness to learn US tax regulations and meet filing deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
