Academic Head

About the role

The Head of Academics will provide strategic and operational leadership for the academic function, ensuring high‑quality teaching and learning standards, effective faculty management, curriculum development, academic performance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall academic function of the organization.
• Develop and implement academic strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Establish and maintain academic standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise, mentor and develop academic/faculty teams.
• Monitor teaching quality, academic performance and student outcomes.
• Design, review and update academic programs, curricula, course structures and learning materials.
• Conduct regular academic performance reviews and identify areas for improvement.
• Set faculty performance standards and KPIs, providing coaching and feedback.
• Analyze student feedback and performance data to drive initiatives that improve satisfaction and outcomes.
• Coordinate academic schedules, examinations, assessments and related activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, Management or a related field.
• Strong experience in IELTS and PTE instruction, preferably in a consultancy or language‑training institute.
• Good understanding of IELTS and PTE exam formats, assessment criteria and teaching methodologies.
• Experience managing or mentoring IELTS/PTE instructors is preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coordination and leadership abilities.
• Student‑focused, collaborative approach with strong organizational skills.
