Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day accounting and financial activities of the company, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the finance team in ensuring proper financial control and compliance. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role involves handling accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and assisting with payroll and tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, journals and financial documents.
• Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and bank movements.
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, payment vouchers, receipts and other accounting documents.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow‑up of outstanding balances.
• Perform regular bank, cash and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support payroll processing, employee expense claims and related accounting entries.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, customers, banks, auditors and other external parties on financial matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA or CPA is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Xero, ERP).
