Area Service Engineer

About the role

The Area Service Engineer is responsible for overseeing all authorized service centres within a defined region. The role ensures consistent service quality, provides technical support to workshop teams, and drives operational efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily operations of all authorized service centres in the region.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with company policies, service processes and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting assistance and training to service technicians and workshop staff.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and escalate critical issues as needed.
• Coordinate with centre managers to improve workshop productivity, service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor spare‑parts availability and work with relevant departments to minimise downtime.
• Perform service audits, prepare inspection reports and recommend improvements.
• Oversee warranty claim processes and ensure adherence to company warranty policies.
• Analyse service performance data, identify improvement opportunities and report to management.
• Maintain effective communication of service updates, technical bulletins and new product information to all centres.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in automobile service operations or workshop management.
• Experience with authorized service networks is preferred.
• Valid two‑wheeler driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
