Assistant Manager / Manager Operations – Retail/Mart

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager / Manager Operations to lead day‑to‑day activities across our dark stores in Kathmandu. The role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, accurate order processing and timely dispatch while driving strong team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate overall daily operations of dark stores, including store keeping, product placement and operational discipline.
• Oversee order picking, packing, billing and dispatch processes, ensuring accuracy and minimal errors.
• Manage store manpower, shifts, productivity and team performance, and ensure adherence to SOPs and quality‑control procedures.
• Coordinate with inventory and fulfillment teams to resolve stock‑related issues and monitor operational KPIs.
• Support the setup and operational readiness of new dark stores and implement solutions to improve customer experience.

Required profile

• 2+ years of relevant experience in retail, supermarket, warehouse, dark store, FMCG or fulfillment operations.
• Strong people‑management and operational‑coordination skills with ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of operational processes, SOPs, quality standards and inventory coordination.
• Ability to monitor KPIs and implement improvements based on performance data.
