Bakery Chef – Full‑time On‑site Position in Kathmandu

About the role

The Bakery Chef will work full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, preparing, baking and decorating a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes and desserts for guests. The role combines menu planning, quality control and collaboration with kitchen and service teams to deliver consistent, high‑quality bakery products.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, bake and decorate breads, pastries, cakes and desserts according to menu specifications.
• Plan and execute daily bakery menus, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Monitor ingredient quality and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory, coordinate with kitchen and service staff, and control costs.
• Contribute new product ideas and seasonal offerings while supporting a collaborative kitchen culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a bakery chef, pastry chef or baker in a hotel, restaurant or bakery setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to handle multiple orders in a fast‑paced environment and work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; formal culinary training is a plus.
