Business Development Officer (Institutional Sales)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on expanding institutional partnerships for a digital fare collection system in Nepal’s public transport sector. The Business Development Officer will drive new collaborations, manage agent networks, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new institutional collaborations to expand digital fare collection adoption.
• Manage the agents network, onboard institutional customers and track their sales performance.
• Conduct market research, analyse trends and prepare business proposals, presentations and demos.
• Maintain public relations and develop financial projections to support strategic decisions.
• Report on business development activities and contribute ideas to improve products, processes and customer experience.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, management or a related field.
• Experience or knowledge of fintech, payments, transportation or related industries (advantageous).
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and assess market trends.
• Excellent communication skills for client presentations, negotiations and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Customer‑focused mindset with solid customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Own vehicle with a valid driving licence.
