Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will work full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, driving new business for DigiBuzz’s public bus entertainment solutions. The role focuses on identifying partnership opportunities, conducting market research and managing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with bus operators, advertisers and other stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, prospect outreach and prepare proposals.
• Negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining existing client relationships.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure service delivery and track performance of initiatives.
• Provide regular reports on sales pipelines and revenue forecasts.
• Represent DigiBuzz at industry meetings and events to promote solutions.

Required profile

• Proven new‑business development experience, including lead generation and deal closure.
• Strong analytical ability and basic finance knowledge to evaluate opportunities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for proposals and stakeholder collaboration.
• Customer‑service orientation with a track record of managing client relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in media, advertising, transportation or technology services is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Familiarity with basic CRM or sales‑tracking systems.
