About the role
The Central Technical & Maintenance Officer provides centralized technical support to all LPG bottling plants, coordinating with plant in‑charges and maintenance teams. The role involves periodic plant visits, inspections, troubleshooting, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple facilities in Nepal.
Key responsibilities
- Provide centralized technical support to all LPG bottling plants and coordinate with plant in‑charges and maintenance teams.
- Conduct periodic plant visits, technical inspections, troubleshooting, and supervise maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance of LPG filling carousels, machines, heads, solenoid valves, check scales, conveyors, VCM, HST, sealing machines, compressors, pneumatic systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and carousel rail/track systems.
- Develop and monitor plant‑wise preventive maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective maintenance.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, recurring technical issues, maintenance history, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate critical spare‑parts requirements and work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability.
- Liaise with OEMs, equipment suppliers, and external technicians for specialized technical support.
- Conduct periodic technical inspections and submit reports on major observations, pending repairs, and required actions.
- Support the development of standardized maintenance procedures, checklists, and technical practices across plants.
Required profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, filling/weighing systems, conveyors, carousel systems and basic automation.
- Experience in LPG bottling, manufacturing, process plants or similar industrial environments is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to LPG plants across Nepal.
