Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Digital Payments

About the role

Hamro Pay is seeking a dynamic, commercially driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of growth in Nepal’s digital payments market. The role combines strong financial discipline with hands‑on business development, requiring the CEO to represent the company, build relationships, and drive measurable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute overall strategy, growth initiatives and day‑to‑day management of Hamro Pay.
• Drive increases in transaction volume, revenue, active users, merchants and strategic partnerships.
• Engage directly with banks, merchants, corporate clients, regulators and technology partners to expand the business.
• Lead business development, negotiate commercial terms and secure major partnerships.
• Identify new products, services and revenue opportunities and work with product and technology teams to launch them.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, profitability and cash‑flow management.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators and report regularly to the Board and shareholders.
• Build, motivate and lead a high‑performing team while fostering a culture of ownership and innovation.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 3 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably fintech, banking or payments.
• Strong financial and analytical expertise, including budgeting, revenue management and profitability analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Nepali and English.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities, pitch solutions, negotiate terms and close partnerships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high motivation, integrity and willingness to take full ownership of business outcomes.
