Country Manager – Pharma

About the role

The Country Manager – Pharma will lead the expansion of an international pharmaceutical brand in the assigned market. This senior leadership position requires overseeing sales growth, brand development, and market penetration while managing relationships with doctors, distributors, and the internal sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the local sales team to achieve business targets.
• Drive sales growth and market expansion in the assigned country.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with doctors and healthcare professionals.
• Conduct doctor calls and implement effective customer engagement strategies.
• Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities for brand visibility.
• Implement concept selling and brand‑building strategies.
• Coordinate with distributors and channel partners for smooth business operations.
• Ensure product availability through effective coordination with supply‑chain teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback.
• Prepare sales forecasts, business reports and market development plans.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Proven experience in team handling and sales management.
• Strong expertise in branding and concept selling.
• Experience engaging doctors and healthcare professionals.
• Preferably background with reputed pharma, FMCG, MNC or branded businesses.
• Excellent communication, leadership and relationship‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the market.
